I wonder why this is under "country", but well, since you're here, let's roll with it :)
This song is a clear case of BDSM (I need to be entertained/Push the limit/Are you with it?/Baby, don't be afraid/I'ma hurt 'ya real good, baby), and he's expressing his sexuality to the fullest extent and basically saying to his fans and viewers that, like it or not, this is me, and I'm not going to change and don't care whether you approve or not. I'm here solely for your entertainment and nothing else (Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet/'Ya fallen angel swept you off ya feet/But I'm about to turn up the heat/I'm here for your entertainment).
You must of course be aware of Adam's heavily BSDM themed performance of this song at the AMA awards, and the media outrage that has followed. Regarding that event and the song in particular, he told Rolling Stone magazine, "Female performers have been doing this for years - pushing the envelope about sexuality - and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. We're in 2009 - it's time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people's eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I'm not for them. My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."
